i got word this evening that our buddy (danzig) missed his flight out of argentina. how he always manages to do this, i will never know. it’s a mystery. (mostly) tonight’s in-flight movie is gigli.

digital light processing (dlp) tvs are the way of the future.

the new cure album came out today. it’s fresh. much, much better than “bloodflowers” or “wild mood swings”. it reminds me a bit of “wish”. it’s got the new feel but the old quality of songwriting. it amazes me when old geezers such as these make bloody brilliant music and these young blokes are playing the same 4 power chords over and over. i think i have to visit the loo now.

stemshul and i gave the 64tacos store an overhaul today and it is looking much better. right now we are offering a bunch of “psh” clothing items. we will be adding a lot more products very soon.

i found out that kids in the hall: season two will be coming to a dvd player near me in the not too distant future.

question of the day: in the ‘friends’ pilot episode, what tv show was rachel watching?

i got to see the fahrenheit 9/11 today, and it was every bit as compelling as i hoped it would be. it showcased humanity at its best and worst. while it was extremely biased, michael moore has to be given credit for those gargantuan huevos he has.

i used to own a big fish dvd. then i borrowed it to a friend, who we will call “rogaine accident”, and i never saw it again. this was about three weeks ago. i could just go over there and take it back but i choose to complain about it. after all this is not the first time this has happened. we were over at “rogaine accident”’s house playing a hearty game of d&d when stemshul gave me back my copy of six-string samurai. i placed it on the table and tediddy decided that he didn’t want it on the table. so he put it on the floor and i forgot to bring it home. i didn’t see that dvd for several months. i saw the case a few times but there was no disc in it. we couldn’t find the disc! i finally got the thing back after “rogaine accident” moved to a new location and i noticed the dvd sitting on his movie rack. i was like, “hey, that’s mine, i’m gonna steal it.” so i did. anyway, back to big fish, i know i’m not going to get it back until “rogaine accident” moves again. maybe i should just go over there and take the power back. i want to hear the tim burton commentary.

i recently shot off an e-mail to suggestions@google.com with an inquiry about a potential google instant messaging service. yahoo prompted me to do this because, quite frankly, they suck. i use trillian, a program that takes all the im services and combines them into one easy-to-use package. i don’t think yahoo likes that scenario very much because they can’t spam the shit out of you with ads like they do on their im program. it makes sense since they are allowing people to freely use their service and when people use trillian or other third-party programs to access their im service, they aren’t getting any money from it. to that, i say tough beans, man. i don’t have to use your service and i would prefer not to anyway. so, here is the message i sent google. it’s ‘unabridged’ which i’m not sure what that means but basically i didn’t change anything.

katohater to suggestions

I’ve been an avid user of Google for a long time and I like the new Gmail, but what I really want to know is where is GIM (Google Instant Messaging)? AOL sucks, Yahoo is constantly disconnecting, and MSN leaves a lot to be desired. Google could clean house with a fast, user-friendly, reliable instant messaging service. I hope it’s already in the pipeline, but if not, please make it happen. Before Google, searching sucked and web-based e-mail sucked. Now, it’s time for instant messaging to stop sucking.

Thank you,
