i saw a jolly good movie called shaun of the dead on saturday. it’s a british film about this average guy named shaun, who goes from pathetic slacker to super-charged cricket-bat-wielding hero when zombies start popping up everywhere. the movie manages to balance horror and comedy very well, mainly due to the sharp, intelligent writing. had this movie been made in america, i can’t help but think that it would be filled with dick and fart jokes, or at least a bit of fecal matter. well, there was one fart joke that got repeated later in the movie, but it was not your typical fart joke. it was subtle. one could even say, it was an s.b.d. heh heh. anyway, if you like zombie movies or british movies or movies with witty comedy, check this one out. i was not disappointed at all. clever girl.
