what you don’t know won’t kill you

comments don’t do it justice. i read a post on a friend’s blog and decided my thoughts needed a post of their own. so, consider this owned (pwn3d).

happy-time harrythere is also the obvious social message with fake bullet hole stickers/clings, and that is we are becoming more and more inclined to accept violence and chaos as our way of life. fake or not, the subconcious implication is still there.

violence is in our video games. i love being able to be violent in a video game, but too many people can’t differentiate between what is real and what is game. that’s their problem. until one of those morons shoots me. it’s still their problem, but i pay the price. so, how do we fix this? we can’t. put a fake bullet hole on your car.

guns are my second amendment right! if i need a gun, i can go buy one. but what world do i live in, where i need a gun? this is asinine. “it’s for me and my family’s protection. junior, get away from there. junior! *bang*” how often is it that some kid blows his head off because he found his dad’s gun in the sock drawer or under the bed? more often than that gun was used to stop intruders. only in a world where fear is your friend and you think someone is going to break down your door at any minute, do you need a gun. put a fake bullet hole on your car.

“but it’s just a joke!” <– this type of thinking breeds complacency. we joke about stuff so much, that we forget all the problems facing us; and they are growing larger all the time. but that’s the idea. forget about your problems. it’s the only way to lead a healthy, numbed life.

putting a fake bullet hole on your car is funny. and when a real one hits your car, it will blend in. no harm, no fowl.

A little too ironic. I was thinking about this very subject on the way to work today. As I followed a maroon PT Cruiser.

    Even worse than violence… Impurity.
