have you heard about the mining incident in west virginia? how could you not? it’s on every channel, in ever newspaper, and if they could beam it directly into your brain, they would. that’s telekinesis, kyle.
i’m wondering how many people are surprised by miners getting killed in a mine. can we have a show of hands? because, as tragic as it is, mining is a dangerous job. those mans knew the risk when they started the job. it may not have been written down anywhere, but it was implied. “you may, at some point, be killed in a mine.”
this is not national news. it’s not gripping. and if it hadn’t become a media feeding frenzy, i wouldn’t have seen several different newspapers with blundered headlines saying different things. some freakin’ idiot jumped the gun and said that twelve miners were found alive when only one survived.
let me tell you, if i was the one responsible for writing a news piece with the false headline of “12 miners found alive”, i’d be really embarrassed right now.

Looks like it’s a blogging frenzy, too.
