all preparations have been made. all backpacks packed. all hairs cut.
i have said my goodbyes to my job, my desert, my dry heat, my mountains, and my sun. i will miss them dearly, especially my wonderful job.
(why do they always put the “home” key next to the “backspace” key on laptop computer keyboards?)
i don’t know if i’m quite ready for the green again. or the moisture. the stickiness of clothing and couches. it will be what it will be. i will probably be annoyed. i will probably want to get hell’s pizza.
the hour is upon us. move zig.

to celebrate two birthdays, we went to this place called pinnacle peak. it’s a little old west town setup with restaurants, shops, performers, and even a little train.
we ate some yummy grilled stuff at the steakhouse restaurant. my grilled salmon was great. my cheesecake was smooth and creamy.
we walked the walk and shopped the shops. i almost bought a peeing keychain monkey. i almost bought a smoking monkey. i almost bought a dashboard jesus.
the only problem was that loop wasn’t there. he’s the world famous loopin’ maniac. i’ve done photos for him. i know his true identity.
maybe someday i’ll get to see his awesome show.

two days to go.
it’s been a good birthday week. a lot of presents and unexpected surprises and it’s been great.
i’m now enrolled in the local community college. more will happen with that after vacation.
i saw a scanner darkly. it was good, but unevenly paced. i think it will get better with repeat viewings. i’m not sure why. i hope the dvd includes the movie in full live action without any animation. that would be cool.
i think today was ghost in the machine day, because things were kinda weird. the security post things at work started going off every time someone would walk through them, which prompted me to keep thinking “everyone’s a suspect!” then, lady friend’s apartment buzzer thing kept buzzing and it didn’t seem like anyone was on the other end or it’s broken since she’s never used it.
