when the water comes, it comes with a vengeance. parts of roads and bridges have been swept away. tourist spots have been closed, because of dangerous conditions (flooded restrooms. poo.).
i’ve developed quite a few photos of flood damage. possibly for insurance purposes, or maybe people just want memories. i know i like to remember when bad stuff happens.
lady friend and i went to one of our favorite hiking/outdoorsy locations, after hearing about its destruction. it’s not gone, but it will take some time before it is back to full operation.
we hiked around and found a nice spot to cool off in the rushing water. it was very refreshing.
our clothes filled up with sand from the erosive water. my ankle got skinned on a rock. it’s all fun and games until there’s bloody sand everywhere. luckily, the water was clean-ish, but not very. my immune system seems to be fully functional.
in the end, i kinda wish i had built an ark. you know, at least for the sense of accomplishment.

Good thing there werent any sharks.
Nice eyes!
