the time is drawing near to return to the world of high speed internets. i prefer dsl to cable, because i’ve had better luck with dsl overall. it was a tough decision, though. cable is only a few dollars more and it’s a tad faster. but it’s only faster when it’s not kicking you off or having an outage.
i went to circuit shitty, because i found a good deal on the modem i needed. the catch: mail-in rebates. the bane of my existence! none of the other deals even came close, and i am not renting a modem from qwest for $5-8/month. no way.
if everything goes as planned, the modem will only be $20 and i will have a $125 gift card to circuit shitty. too bad things never go as planned. i’ll just be happy if i get some high speed internets.
maybe i should try being optimistic. i have had rebates that went through. i’ve only really been burned once for $20. of course, i haven’t really jumped at the opportunity to be burned again.
i will consider this my final warning to myself.
So are you getting DSL or cable? Personally Im lovin the Cox. Now that its set up and my computer has settled in with it I have no complaints.
