yesterday, we woke up and had a brunch buffet at the palace station. the food is cheap and sometimes tasty.
then we hit the casino for a bit of roulette. my first time playing, it was a lot better than slot machines. in fact, i doubled my $20 after about 20 minutes playing, then cashed out and lost everything on a 25-cent spin-the-wheel slot machine. i just wanted to spin the wheel once.
it was then time to head out so we said our final goodbyes and hit the road. we stopped at hoover dam for a little touristy fun. we took the tour and learned about how the dam was created.
realizing that if we didn’t get back on the road soon, we wouldn’t get home until midnight, we decided that the rest of hoover dam could wait for a return trip.
six and a half hours later, we walked through the front door and went to sleep.
