i picked her up at the spay/neuter clinic around 4:15. she was ready to go. i put her purple color on and put her in the front seat with me. on the drive home, i told her about how her life was about to get a whole lot better and that we weren’t going to abandon her ever.
she was scared to come into the house at first, but i coaxed her with a treat. we let her explore and then we brought her outside and she pooped like she’d never pooped before. it almost brought tears to my eyes. i wanted to take pictures and be like “see, this is our doggie’s first poops.” but then i felt retarded and decided it was a bad idea.
i went to the store to get some pizzas for dinner and some dog food for when she starts eating again. buying dog food is kind of a pain in the ass when you don’t know what to get. i got a bag of dog chow because it was on sale. i wanted to get something for puppies since she is only 9 months, but i really had no idea what to get. we’ll probably go to costco and get a giant bag of something.
awww she is so cute… what type breed is she? i know a mutt but what are her mixes?
I think she looks like she’s got some rottweiler in her. She’s beautiful! How did her first night go?
the generic “lab-mix” is what they call her. i, too, think she has some rottweiler, but i don’t know what else. at first, i thought maybe some german shepherd, but now i’m not so sure. her tail is fairly long and i’m not sure what she might have gotten that from.
see now to me she looks more like a mix of a Doberman pincher and a lab more than a rotweiler and lab. rottweilers have such fat faces almost like bull dogs but who knows :)
