truest love

last week, i asked her what she wanted for valentine’s day. she said nothing. that’s called danger zone, when a boyfriend thinks he’s off the hook, but little does he know that she doesn’t want to be forgotten.

so i started to go through the list of options. jewelry says you have the money to buy love. i have no money. my spanish teacher says not to get a pound of chocolate, because it will go straight to her ankles. he seems to know what he’s talking about. flowers are doable, but they aren’t quite enough. that’s when i resort to my creative juices. over the course of two carefully timed days while she was at work, i wrote and recorded this song for her listening pleasure. it’s called “well, i have.”
