it took 6 months of waiting and 1 day of getting motivated. that’s right, i’ve been admitted to the university. finally. i started to think they didn’t want me (want my money, that is). but i knew when they saw my 3.91 gpa, they wouldn’t be able to say “no.” it feels good to get that small hurdle out of the way.

just when i thought things couldn’t get much better, i was awarded the fine distinction of “employee of the quarter” at my job. when i asked my boss what i did to deserve this title, he said that i show up on time and actually work. so that’s all it takes? just find a job where everyone you work with does the absolute bare minimum and you’ll be a top employee also. in fact, you’ll be so highly regarded, that you’ll always get more hours than most of your co-workers, even if you don’t want said hours, because you’d rather be working on homework to maintain good grades.

lastly, our honeymoon plans are finally in order. unfortunately, we couldn’t justify spending the amount of money to take a cruise. and really, it was the airfare to get to the cruise ports in florida that killed the idea. too many people fly around spring break. so instead, we decided to each pick something to do and do it. so we are renting a car for a week and driving to disneyland and then vegas. it will be the perfect balance of innocence and naughtiness. that’s right, from mickey mouse to carrot top. here we come, baby!
