I’m entering what may be my final year of college (maybe). The current semester looks to be a good one. All of my classes are interesting, and none of my professors are graduate students. One of my “classes” is an independent study where I’ll be doing research about several different dialects of a language. I think it’s going to be interesting and a lot more hands-on than my other classes.
My goals for this semester include: staying on top of my homework assignments and getting stuff done way before it’s due, researching graduate school possibilities, and watching the university’s career website for any possible jobs. While future prospects seem bleak at this point, the thing to remember is that anything is possible when you put your mind to it. Rather than sitting around and waiting for something to fall into my lap (it’s rare, but it does happen), I prefer to actively go after things. It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it.
